According to reports in the AFP, Barcelona FC prodigy, Lionel Messi, will be wearing blue and white instead of blue and red this August.
Reports suggest that Messi will fly to China early Thursday to join the Argentina squad for the Olympics which get underway next week.
Bypassing Barcelona's American tour, the 21-year-old will fly directly from Italy, where he took part in a 3-1 friendly win over Fiorentina in Florence earlier tonight.
Earlier today, FIFA confirmed clubs are obliged to release players aged 23 and under for the Olympics but Barcelona has been pushing for Messi to stay with the club.
The club said they will take their case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), but Messi said, "if FIFA say I should be there then I'll go without waiting for the CAS ruling."
