The steady drip of American Goalkeepers joining the Premiership may have a valve on it after all.
American goalkeeper Dominic Cervi recently concluded a trial at the Premiership side Portsmouth but did not receive a contract offer.
Apparently Cervi impressed, but earned just enough praise to ensure Pompey "keeps tabs on him" and not enough to convince them to put pen to paper.
Surly Cervi is still holding out for a spot in Europe as he did not sign with Major League Soccer after being drafted by the Chicago Fire.
