ESPN to show Mexico vs. USA in High Def
The Match is set. USA vs. Mexico.
The Date is set. Feruary 11th.
And now the High Definition is set. That's right folks, ESPN announced that the match will be broadcast on ESPN2 in High Definition as part of their "Rivalry Week" promotion - usually reserved for college basketball...the network has slowly begun to recognize the rising tide of television popularity for the world's game in the United States.
It's no secret that there is no such thing as US v. Mexico friendly, but this match kicks off the next round of World Cup qualifying for both of these nations, so there will be nothing left behind. And for fans of the USMNT, you know when we play Mexico in the states, there will be no shortage of green shirts in the stands!
Complete match information is here courtesy of USsoccer.com:
Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

TICKETS GO ON SALE STARTING Wednesday, January 28, 12 p.m. ET. LIMIT 4 TICKETS PER PURCHASE.
By the way my fellow Atlantans, at a mere 550 miles away, Columbus Crew stadium is our closest MLS venue, so it may be well worth the road trip (if you can get a ticket!)
