Atlanta Soccer News: Silverbacks Come Away with a Point against the Timbers

In a match finish that should have a warning label for cardiac patients, the Silverbacks miraculously scraped out a draw against the Portland Timbers.

For large stretches of the match, the Silverbacks seemed to control the run of play yet could not convert any of their possession in to goals.

When the first goal did come, it was on the other end of the field as the Timbers went up 1-0 at the end of regular time. The Silverbacks were staring down a gut wrenching loss but an injury time equalizer by Ansu Toure kept the match even and both teams left Silverbacks park with a point.
