According to a New England Revolution press release, Pat Phelan suffered a concussion and nothing more last night in 2008 SuperLiga action.
According to the press release, "he was momentarily unconscious, but regained consciousness before being stretchered off the field. He was taken by ambulance to Massachusetts General Hospital where he was further evaluated. Phelan is expected to be out of action for at least one week."
While a concussion is no small event, it's great news for those of us who witnessed the brutal contact and thought the worst.
