Beckham Says MLS is Better Than People Think

According to an AP report, Beckham says, "Soccer is definitely changing in this country, and it is getting bigger and growing...but it is going to take time, and I said that at the start. It’s not just going to happen in a year or two. It’s a long-term plan to raise the profile for this game in this country. I think it has gone well so far."

Of the MLS, he says, "Every game is a tough game. Of course, we do want to get it to the level of other leagues in the world, but it will take time. But it’s not that far away. There is a lot of talent in this league."
